This name is probably not familiar for a lot of you, but I still wanted to share them with you ^_^ Rowwen Hèze is a Dutch band, but they don't sing in normal Dutch. They sing in a dialect from Limburg, in the south of the Netherlands... yeah, that's around where I live :P They're not only big in Limburg though.. I've heard from people all over the country that love them :P ... and they've also done a tour through Texas with Flaco Jimenez, a famous Texan accordionist.
They are most known as a party band, but they also have songs that are a little less energetic, but beautiful none the less. I like the a little slower songs of them best. They always have meaning that makes me feel a bit nostalgic, although I'm still pretty young xD ...
I'll put some links to some of my favorite songs down here, so if you have some time, please listen to them and tell me what you think about them ^_^ First up are some of the slower songs, and next I'll put some links to faster songs :P
"De Peel In Brand" ("Peel On Fire" I couldn't find the translation of the word 'Peel' but it's sort of an area in Limburg) it's not about an actual fire though.. it's about how the sky turns red at night like it's on fire

"De Neus Umhoeg" ("The Nose Up") it's a song about death, though in a pretty sober way.. it says that it's decided that you die one day, from the day you were born. No escaping it.

"Vlinder" ("Butterfly") I really like this one. It's about the murder on Nicky Verstappen, an 11 year old boy in 1998. It's really one of my most favorite songs ever.

"Auto, Vliegtuug" ("Car, Airplane") A song about how big the world actually is. Someday, when I'm living far away, I'll listen to this song again, and I'll think of my home in Limburg ^_^

"Kwestie Van Geduld" or "Limburg" ("Matter Of Patience" or "Limburg") the most famous line from this song means "It's a matter of patience until all of the Netherlands talk Limburgs" which I think pretty much explains it :P
