Yaoi! To like or not to like - Slighty pervy topic

So! Do you like Yaoi? Perhaps some of you need an explanation as to what it is. It's basically guyxguy couple stories, ususally portrayed in manga or anime. It is different than conventional gay manga as its usually about more sexually explicit encounters, plot lines, and themes.

I personally love them. ^^

I love them too and I am surprised that I met a guy who likes yaoi and gays (in my town, I can't).
So yeah, they rock!

As you already know I really love it xD
and well I wasn't suprised to hear a guy likes it too...
I know some other guys who like it.

Ah.. I think almost everyone here likes yaoi.. XD Ah, not that it matters.. of course we do!!

How about yuri though?? o.o I want more yuri!! T_T There's yaoi everywhere <.< but not for girls.. kinda unfair!!??

well I'm not really into yuri so uhm...count me out on that discussion.

mehh I'm not that fond of Yuri or Yaoi, if anime series are based only on relationships like that I think it's rather not interesting for me :P

not quite into yaori... basically if the show is good i do not mind i got nothing against gay's/gay couples so it does not ruïn or improve an anime/manga for me to me it is just another couple

I'm glad everyone here is so open about gay couples actually ^^ I hate people who discriminate them and do all these awful stuff to them.. like yelling, teasing, beating and there are a lot of things people manage to think of >.<

do not quite understand what goes on in their heads for them to do such things... maybe they feel insecure about their sexuality or something...

They simply like persons of the same sex.
It can happen because you were born like this, because you were abused of someone of the same sex or because you are used to that (you watch, you know, stuff).
In my case... I try to be bi, but seems like i am just sexual obsessed and i can't reach that bi-point XD.

I've read a rather interesting article a couple of days ago in the paper :P it said that during the second half of the pregnancy of for example a boy, if the level of male hormones is lower than average, and they're exposed to more female hormones, they are already born bi, or gay ... same goes for girls when they're exposed to more male than female hormones... But of course it also depends on things you experience in your life that determines wether you like boys or girls...
About homophobes I just got one thing to say: *BEEEEEP* ... yeah... I know a couple of gays and lesbians, and they're very nice people, and not that different from us... I don't even get what the fuss is about. I mean, from all the animals only humans seem to make a big deal out of it.. there are a lot of gay animals out there, and the other animals don't go like "that's wrong!"

And about the yaoi thing. I've got nothing against it, but I'm not really into it :P but it can be cute though...

Yes, someone can be born with this, but also he/she might have been abused or watched yaoi/yuri (why the heck it doesn't work on me??)

Yeah, there are many in my country (at least the people i know) who are like "omg gay?? go away"...i mean..they hate them and find the gay-thing sick...why? it's not sick. they're just like us and they consider us sick too, they are sick when they see us kissing and doing all that stuff. why should we be right when we say taht it's so sick when you see 2 guys (i won't say girls, cause everyone thinks lesbians are so cool) kissing or having fun? why aren't they right when they say it's sick when a guy + girl are kissing and having fun?

yeah I don't really think what's the fuss about, okay I can understand that you don't like it if to guys or girls are kissing and stuff... I mean I don't even like it when a girl and a boy are making out, I'm like guys...do it please somewhere less open and public heheh...but that's just me.
I have nothing against gays or lesbians. Some of my friends are and they're nothing difrent from I am, they're really nice people.

have nothing about kissing/cuddling in public although something i am against is doing it in public... heard from a former colleague that he caught a couple on a bench next to the road... and yes it was during the day ...

okay forgot to edit my post so w/e I dont think anyone cares. As for me I don't mind if they do it in public, you can easily look the other way, but really those who do are arrogant and unsocial people, especially if they do it at a place where children walk around.

It has nothing to do with sexual obsession, but it may have if i watch yaoi.
Anyway, why do i want to be bi? Cause..i think guys are jerks? (no offence)
Until now i haven't found a guy who would deserve our love (actually i am speaking in my case). And that's the summary of the summary.

I agree in the guys being jerks part... but then again.. many women are jerks to -_-;;; my opinion: all people are jerks... haha :P though some are bigger jerks than others.
oh and thumbs, falling far a guy isn't that difficult ;P just trip right in front of his feet *cough*verylamejoke*cough* ... uhm... yeah -_-;;

well i am not clumsy in that way more in the being too rude way.. and so far i do not concider women to be jerks...

Oh, believe me, I know a lot of women that are complete jerks... god, how I hate them -_-;; and I also dislike those girls that are all helpless and can't do anything by themselves... they are sooo freaking annoying...
Though luckily, I get to know more and more girls who aren't like that :) ...

I don't know... but I do know how it started.. there's this woman, a mangaka, and she kinda intented the genre :P ya know, in Japan it's actually known as BL or Boys Love :P .. but whatever.. she wanted to make some revolutionairy manga, so some things that aren't really talked about often were going to be discussed... so she thought she'd make a manga with sex... but that's often just talked about as porn, so she began to think... girls like cute guys, right? well, then probably they'll like cute guys together :P and taadaa, yaoi was born.
